I think there are some preconceived ideas I had about what graphic art and design entailed and what it took to be successful in that field. I always felt creativity was something a person is either born with or something they developed as a child with influence and exposure to culture music and art. I thought that writer's block was a block or wall that made creativity come to a standstill that all artists come to experience it with time and that most people learn to overcome it and that they get through it. I know I have personally struggled with it a few times often from my insecurities or stress of time a time constraints. But as it turns out this is not true. Creativity is something that can be learned and practiced. The idea sounds almost crazy to me as I type this but as I have found evidence of and there is scientific proof this is a true story. weekly creativity blogs can be challenging at times but that is something I love. I have found in doing these creativity challenges that I have created the blocks that have seemingly impeded my ability to create anything of value. I have found many of the silly exercises to be fun and helpful and that simply changing my environment, meditating, and talking with children, the littlest things that we take for granted.. to stop and admire them, and be grateful for them. I know when I do this my perspective is changed my mind feels free and inhibitions seem to melt away.
