Good day or night, depending on when you are reading this! I was thinking about how it was time to put on my creative hat and start searching the internet for something fun and challenging for this week's creative challenge. Then, while looking at some photos I took, I had a thought: what if I created my own creative challenge? So that's exactly what I did.

This week, I challenged myself to take a photo and see something in it that may not be obvious to the viewer, but that I can envision and bring to life using Photoshop. I took this photo using a filter on Snapchat and made sure to position my face so that when the filter aligned, it would look like the trees were my hair, framing my face.

The final version 1 w/o dissolve |
After taking the photo, I edited it in Photoshop. I created pupils using the puppet warp tool, added a solid color background, and then used the paintbrush to give it some texture. I also added a gradient fill of white, changed the blend mode to dissolve, and lowered the opacity. Additionally, I included a greenish tint for a dual-tone effect. I couldn't decide which one I liked best: the version with the dissolve gradient or without it. Let me know which one you think looks better!
